The Government of Pakistan has issued a travel advisory, urging its citizens to refrain from visiting Iran for a limited period due to the recent escalation following Israeli attacks, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP). Officials emphasized that this advisory aims to safeguard Pakistani nationals, with the situation in the region being closely monitored.
Following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directives, steps are underway to ensure the safe return of Pakistanis currently in Iran, while the Foreign Office has activated a crisis management cell for emergency support.

Several other nations have also released similar advisories as regional tensions grow. The U.S. State Department has urged Americans to remain extremely cautious, highlighting the volatile and rapidly shifting security situation in the Middle East. The U.K.’s Foreign Office similarly advised against non-essential travel to Israel, citing fears of potential escalation into wider conflict following Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear and military sites.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s full support for Iran during a call with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, condemning Israel’s actions as blatant aggression. The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s solidarity with the Iranian people and underscored Iran’s legitimate right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter, calling the Israeli offensive a violation of international law.
