During Google I/O 2023, George Hwang, the Google Pixel product manager, spoke with Tom’s Guide and gave company insights. When asked about flip foldables, Hwang said the Pixel team is looking into “different types of devices” and “different types of technologies.”

This suggests that Google is willing to broaden its portfolio beyond the usual foldable form factor, signalling a promising direction for future product releases.

It is crucial to note that Google’s readiness to investigate alternative foldable devices in the future does not imply that an impending Pixel Flip, akin to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 or the Motorola Razr 2022, is in the works. However, it does signal that Google is open to the notion of releasing more foldable gadgets in the future.

During the interview, Hwang stressed that the Google team’s top focus right now is to guarantee that the Pixel Fold provides an excellent user experience. As Hwang noted, this includes a variety of factors ranging from design to app integration and camera performance.

Google is committed to optimising every aspect of the Pixel Fold to make it the best it can be, reaffirming the company’s commitment to producing a top-tier folding smartphone.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
