Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Saturday, following a strong upward trend in the international bullion market.
The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 5,300 during the day, reaching Rs. 444,162 per tola. The 10-gram gold rate also increased by Rs. 4,544, climbing to Rs. 380,797. This comes after two days of stability, with gold holding steady at Rs. 438,862 per tola on Friday.
Globally, spot gold prices jumped $53 to reach $4,218 per ounce, including a $20 premium, reflecting strong investor demand.
Silver prices in Pakistan also saw a rise, with the per tola rate increasing by Rs. 267 to reach Rs. 5,909 in the domestic market.
