Gold Prices Surge by Rs. 6,600 Per Tola in Pakistan, Weekly Increase Hits Rs. 10,900
KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan saw a sharp rise on Wednesday, with the rate of 24-karat gold increasing by Rs. 6,600 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.
The price per tola climbed to Rs. 349,400, up from Rs. 342,800 recorded in the previous trading session. This brings the total increase in gold price for the week to Rs. 10,900 per tola, after a Rs. 4,300 rise in the first two days.

10-Gram Gold and Silver Rates Also Rise
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold jumped by Rs. 5,659, reaching Rs. 299,554, compared to Rs. 293,895 a day earlier. Similarly, 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs. 5,188, hitting Rs. 274,601 from Rs. 269,413.
Silver prices followed the same trend:
- Silver per tola increased by Rs. 56, now priced at Rs. 3,466 (previously Rs. 3,410)
- 10 grams of silver rose by Rs. 48, now standing at Rs. 2,971, up from Rs. 2,923
Global Market Update
In the international market, gold prices surged by $66, with the rate climbing to $3,310 per ounce, up from $3,244. The global price of silver also recorded an increase of $0.56, reaching $33.08 per ounce.
