The price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 500 per tola, reaching Rs. 359,500 compared to Rs. 359,000 in the previous session, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Notably, gold prices had already jumped by Rs. 6,100 per tola on Saturday.
Additionally, the rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs. 429, settling at Rs. 308,213 from Rs. 307,784. The 22-karat gold price also increased, reaching Rs. 282,529 from Rs. 282,145.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged, with per tola priced at Rs. 3,9530 and 10 grams at Rs. 3,389.
On the global front, gold prices increased by $5, trading at $3,368 compared to the previous $3,363. Silver also edged up to $37.20 from $37.01, as per the association’s report.
