On Thursday, the gold price in Pakistan saw a significant drop of nearly Rs. 8,000 per tola, closing at Rs. 197,200. According to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA), the price of 24-carat gold decreased by Rs. 7,800 per tola, reaching Rs. 197,200, while the price of 10 grams fell by Rs. 6,684, ending at Rs. 169,070.
Just the day before, the price of 24-carat gold had increased by Rs. 5,500 per tola, with the 10-gram price rising by Rs. 4,715. Notably, when APGJA announced rates on Tuesday, after nearly a month-long hiatus, the per tola price of gold stood at Rs. 199,500.

The current gold price has significantly decreased since the second week of September, when it came close to reaching the all-time high of Rs. 240,000 per tola in early September.
In the international market, spot gold increased by 0.5 percent to $1,882.59 per ounce as of 1138 GMT, while US gold futures rose by 0.4 percent to $1,895.40.
