He stated, “I am confident that this delivery marks the beginning of a sustainable initiative to provide essential necessities like food, water, medicine, and fuel to the people of Gaza, ensuring a safe, reliable, unconditional, and unobstructed delivery.”

Securing the resumption of the aid operation into Gaza involved intense negotiations with Israel over the past few days, with a focus on ensuring the right conditions.
The Rafah border crossing stands as the sole entry point to Gaza, where numerous trucks have been waiting to deliver urgently needed items such as food, water, and medical supplies, as supplies have been dwindling.
Providing an update after 13 days of hostilities, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported that, according to authorities in Gaza, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 3,785, including at least 1,524 children, with over 12,000 individuals sustaining injuries.
