A Lahore sessions court on Tuesday extended the interim bail of YouTuber Rajab Butt and TikToker Nadeem Mubarak, also known as Naniwala, until January 26. Both are facing charges in the gambling app case.

The court allowed the investigating officer more time to submit the case record. Both influencers appeared in court under tight security. The hearing was adjourned after arguments and the bail extension.

The suspects are accused under cybercrime laws for allegedly promoting a gambling application online. Authorities have stated that social media platforms were used to encourage users to access the app.

Separately, the Punjab Bar Council restored the practicing licensee of Advocate Mian Ali Ashfaq, who represents Rajab Butt. His license was suspended on December 31 after a complaint by the Karachi Bar Association. The council referred the matter to its disciplinary committee for further inquiry.

Ashfaq had contested the suspension, saying it was based on inaccurate information. Following the restoration, he continues to represent Butt in the gambling app case, ensuring his legal rights are maintained during proceedings.

Earlier incidents in this case included an assault on Rajab Butt in a Karachi court. He was attacked by lawyers while appearing with Naniwala, leaving him with a bloodied mouth and torn shirt. Ashfaq confirmed the assault, stating that his client was attacked inside the court premises.

The Lahore sessions court emphasized the need for proper legal procedures in the gambling app case. Authorities are taking strict measures to ensure the investigation progresses smoothly. For related updates on Rajab Butt’s legal troubles, read our coverage on UK Cancels Visa Of Controversial YouTuber Rajab Butt. The next hearing is scheduled for January 26, when the investigating officer will present the submitted record. Observers expect the proceedings to further clarify the responsibilities of all involved parties, including social media influencers and legal representatives.
