ISLAMABAD – The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced that M-Tags will be provided free of charge to citizens across the country until August 15, 2024. The NHA stated that in the near future, only vehicles with M-Tags will be allowed to operate on motorways. The authority encourages the public to obtain their M-Tags at no cost before the deadline.
Starting August 16, 2024, M-Tags will be required for vehicles traveling on the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (M-11). The mandate will gradually extend to all motorways. The M-Tag system aims to save time and reduce costs for travelers, while ensuring that public funds are managed through transparent digital transactions.
