In the other semi-final, India defeated Australia to secure a spot in the final. After Australia won the toss and chose to bat, their innings, led by a promising performance from Travis Head, was curtailed by Mohammad Shami and India’s effective spin attack, which restricted Australia to a total of 264. In response, India successfully chased the target, with Virat Kohli playing a crucial role by scoring 89 off 98 balls, even though they faced a few setbacks such as the early loss of Shubman Gill.
The winner of the South Africa vs. New Zealand semi-final will face India in the final, which will now be held in Dubai following India’s win over Australia.
