The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has postponed its General Recruitment Tests scheduled in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The examinations were originally planned to take place from October 12 to October 19, 2026.
The commission announced the decision through a public notice issued on October 11, 2026. The postponement applies to Phase-III/2026 General Recruitment Tests conducted in the province.
According to the FPSC notice, the affected examination centres include Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan. Candidates scheduled to appear at these locations will have to wait for the revised examination timetable.
The commission said the decision was made because of the prevailing situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It also considered requests submitted by candidates and local invigilation staff.
The postponement affects only the specified recruitment examinations in the province. Other FPSC examinations scheduled in different provinces and areas will continue according to the previously announced schedule.
FPSC Recruitment Tests Postponed in Two Cities
The postponed examinations are part of the commission’s Phase-III/2026 General Recruitment Tests. The affected centres include Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan, where candidates were scheduled to take their tests.
The FPSC did not announce new dates for the postponed examinations in its October 11 notice. Candidates will need to wait for further instructions from the commission.
The decision provides a change to the examination arrangements for applicants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Candidates should avoid relying on the original dates until the commission issues an updated timetable.
Applicants are also advised to keep their examination details and relevant documents ready. They should follow any additional instructions announced by the commission before the revised tests.
Tests in Other Provinces to Continue as Scheduled
The FPSC has clarified that the postponement does not apply nationwide. Recruitment tests scheduled in other provinces and areas will proceed according to the existing timetable.
Candidates appearing for examinations outside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should continue preparing for their tests. They should follow the dates and instructions already provided by the commission.
The clarification is important for applicants who may be concerned about changes to the overall recruitment schedule. The current announcement is limited to the specified examinations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Revised FPSC Test Schedule Awaited
The commission said it would announce a revised schedule for the postponed tests at a later date. No replacement dates were included in the public notice issued on October 11.
Candidates have been advised to regularly visit the official FPSC website for updates. The website will provide information about revised test dates and any related instructions.
Applicants should check the commission’s announcements before making travel or accommodation arrangements. This is particularly important for candidates travelling to Peshawar or Dera Ismail Khan for their examinations.
The FPSC decision follows requests from candidates and local invigilation staff amid the prevailing provincial situation. Further details will become available once the commission announces the revised timetable.
