The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has opened online applications for the MCQ-Based Preliminary Test (MPT) for the CSS Competitive Examination 2027, inviting eligible candidates to apply through its online portal.
According to the commission, online registration will remain open from August 3 to August 20, 2026. The MPT is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026, and will be conducted in 19 cities across Pakistan. Passing the MPT is mandatory for candidates who wish to appear in the CSS Competitive Examination 2027.
FPSC has advised applicants to complete their registration well before the deadline. The commission warned that incorrect or incomplete information may result in the rejection of an application, and candidates should carefully review all details before submission.
To apply, candidates must visit the official FPSC website, create an account, complete their profile, and fill out the online MPT 2027 application form. Applicants are also required to select their preferred examination centre carefully, as FPSC will not allow any changes after the application has been submitted.
The application fee for the MPT is Rs. 250. Candidates must generate a 16-digit PSID and make the payment through the 1-Link system using an ATM, mobile banking, internet banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash, or any participating bank.
FPSC clarified that paying the application fee alone does not complete the registration process. After payment, applicants must log in again and complete the remaining online application steps to ensure successful submission.
The commission also announced that admission certificates will be uploaded to the FPSC website at least 10 days before the examination. Candidates will be required to download their admission certificates online, as no separate call letters or notices will be issued.
Prospective CSS candidates have been encouraged to apply early to avoid last-minute technical issues and ensure they meet all application requirements before the closing date.
