Four Policemen Martyred, Seven Injured In Terror Attacks Across KP

Multiple terrorist attacks took place across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa late Monday night, targeting police personnel in different districts.

In one of the deadliest attacks, unknown gunmen ambushed a Quick Response Force vehicle in Dir’s Panah Kot area. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. while the police team was returning from routine patrol.

Three policemen were martyred on the spot, and six others were seriously injured. According to District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Bilal, the attackers fired from a concealed position. The injured were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital, and a search operation was launched in the area.

In Peshawar, three separate terrorist attacks targeted police installations in suburban areas. These included two check-posts and one police station. The affected sites were Matni Adezai check-post, Nasir Bagh Sakhi Pul check-post, and Hassan Khel police station.

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Qasim confirmed the incidents. He said police successfully repelled the attacks on the Matni and Nasir Bagh check-posts. However, in the attack on Hassan Khel police station, one policeman was martyred and another was injured.

Meanwhile, in Khyber district, two blasts occurred around 1 a.m. The first explosion took place near the wall of the Landi Kotal DSP sub-office. It caused partial damage but no injuries. A second blast happened near a house in Goonji Kallay, damaging a guest room. No casualties were reported in either case.

Police have begun investigations and are working to identify those responsible. The attackers managed to escape before security forces arrived.

These coordinated terrorist attacks highlight ongoing threats to law enforcement in the region. Authorities have increased patrols and security measures in response.

The government has vowed to bring the culprits to justice and ensure the safety of its citizens.
