The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the induction of four cricketing icons Mushtaq Muhammad, Inzamamul Haq, Saeed Anwar, and Misbahul Haq into its prestigious Hall of Fame for 2024. The decision celebrates the extraordinary contributions these players made to the sport and their lasting impact on Pakistani cricket history.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed his pride in honoring these cricket legends, saying, “These four players hold a special place in the history of Pakistani cricket. Their achievements have inspired generations, and their dedication to the game is unparalleled.” Naqvi also highlighted the importance of such recognitions, hoping that future cricketers will follow in their footsteps.

The inducted players have each made remarkable contributions to the sport. Mushtaq Muhammad was instrumental in the early days of Pakistan’s cricketing journey, while Inzamamul Haq remains one of the country’s most celebrated batsmen. Saeed Anwar, known for his elegant batting style, and Misbahul Haq, who captained the team through challenging times, have both left an enduring legacy.
The four cricketers shared their excitement and gratitude upon receiving the honor. Inzamam expressed how significant the recognition was for him, particularly recalling the 1992 World Cup and his triple century against New Zealand. Saeed Anwar reflected on his surprise at playing at such a high level, mentioning his unforgettable 194-run innings against India. Misbah, proud of his career as both a player and captain, recalled historic victories, including the 2009 T20 World Cup and 2013 ODI series in South Africa. Mushtaq Muhammad, expressing joy at being inducted alongside his brother Hanif Mohammad, thanked the PCB for the recognition.
The PCB Hall of Fame, established in 2021, aims to honor the best players in Pakistan’s cricket history. It has previously inducted legendary figures such as Hanif Mohammad, Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, and Javed Miandad. The Hall of Fame continues to celebrate the achievements of players who have made significant contributions to both Pakistan and international cricket.
