[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Rafatullah Mohmand, a former Pakistani cricketer, has questioned the merit claims made by Shakil Sheikh, a member of the PCB governing body, in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Shakil retweeted a video of the Iftar dinner organised for all PCB staff at GSL and NCA yesterday and praised Najam Sethi for his dedication to merit.

“PCB Chairman Najam Sethi believes in merit, encourages those who demonstrate abilities, despises sifarish, and rewards good performance,” Shakil Sheikh tweeted.

Meanwhile, Rafatullah was quick to respond, questioning the PCB Chairman’s merit and demonstration of abilities since taking over.

The Peshawar-born cricketer claimed that Sethi fired the coaching staff of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team, which had performed admirably in domestic cricket.

“As KP coaches, we won all junior and senior trophies for the last three seasons (u13, 16, 19, domestic t20, Pakistan Cup, Quaid e Azam Trophy), but we were fired the next day.”

It is worth noting that the Shehbaz-led government appointed Najam Sethi as PCB Chairman last year, and he made several changes, including the national team’s coaching staff.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
