Flying Car Unveiled in UAE With 500km Travel Range

A Dutch firm, PAL-V, has introduced a groundbreaking flying car at Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park. Priced at Dh2.9 million (around PKR 21 crore), the two-seater vehicle can both drive and fly, covering up to 500 km. Equipped with foldable propellers, it offers seamless transition from road to air travel.

The car is designed for safety and practicality, with potential uses in emergency response, military, and personal or business travel. It’s seen as a safer and more cost-effective alternative to helicopters.

PAL-V’s CEO, Robert Dingemanse, revealed the company has already received 100 orders from UAE-based Jetex. The vehicle is expected to fly in UAE skies by 2027, pending aviation approvals. Future versions aim to use cleaner, more eco-friendly technology.

This innovation could redefine urban mobility in cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, placing the UAE among the first to adopt flying cars for public and commercial use.
