Security forces in Pishin carried out an intelligence-based operation that resulted in the killing of five suspected militants, according to the military’s media wing. The action was launched after reports of armed fighters operating in the area raised immediate security concerns among authorities monitoring militant activity.
The Inter Services Public Relations stated that the militants belonged to a group described as Fitna al Khwarij and were allegedly backed by hostile foreign elements. Officials said troops moved swiftly to surround the location after confirming the presence of the suspected fighters through intelligence surveillance.
According to the statement, security personnel engaged the entire militant formation using multiple weapons during a coordinated assault. The exchange of fire lasted for a significant period, demonstrating what officials described as disciplined tactics and effective battlefield coordination by the responding units conducting the counterterror operation.
During the clash, one suspected suicide bomber detonated explosives, killing himself, while four other militants were shot dead by advancing troops. Authorities reported that weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials were recovered from the site, indicating the group’s alleged involvement in prior attacks within the region.
Officials added that sanitization operations are continuing in surrounding areas of Balochistan to ensure no additional militants remain hidden. Security teams are conducting sweeps and intelligence checks to eliminate any remaining threats and secure nearby communities from potential follow-up attacks or sabotage attempts.
The military reaffirmed that counterterror actions across Pakistan will continue under the broader national security strategy aimed at dismantling militant networks. Authorities stressed that operations will persist at full pace until all foreign-backed threats are neutralized and long-term stability is achieved nationwide.
