This incident is reminiscent of a previous accident in May, where a coach overturned in Jacobabad’s Daival Machhi village after a tire burst, leading to one death and over 30 injuries among wedding guests. These incidents underscore ongoing safety concerns regarding the region’s road conditions.
In a separate incident, three bogies of the Sukkur Express derailed near Kotri Railway Station in the Jamshoro district, disrupting railway traffic between Hyderabad and Jamshoro for approximately 10 hours. The train, which was en route to Karachi from Sukkur, derailed after passing through a curved track at Baba Nathu Shah Railway crossing. Fortunately, all passengers on board were unharmed.
Railway authorities reported that the uptrack was cleared within five hours, while it took about ten hours to clear the downtrack where the derailment occurred. Executive Engineer Amjadullah stated that a technical team from Karachi is investigating the incident and will provide a detailed report on the cause of the derailment.
