The first special PIA flight bringing back stranded Pakistanis from Iran landed in Islamabad early this morning from Ashgabat.
A total of 107 passengers, who had traveled by land to Turkmenistan due to Iranian airspace closure, safely returned home on flight PK-9552 at 3 AM.

Pakistani embassies in Iran and Turkmenistan coordinated the operation, following the government’s directives. Passengers praised the swift efforts of both the government and PIA.
PIA highlighted its commitment to national service during crises, continuing a long-standing tradition.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had ordered full assistance for the safe return of Pakistani Zaireen, with a dedicated Crisis Management Cell established at the Foreign Office to monitor the situation.
