Understanding an issue is the first step in solving it, according to Javed. “I applied for the Climatebase fellowship to have access to a knowledge base of experts to assist my clients in achieving their goals of net zero emissions and carbon-free energy around-the-clock. For our ecosystems to evolve towards Net Zero, we must be capable of assisting the world’s most influential organisations in achieving their sustainability and decarbonization targets.

Climatebase fellows gain leadership skills while learning about climate science and research, GHG standards and procedures, and strategies for accelerating market and policy change in support of Net Zero objectives. Fellows gain experience working cross-functionally in global operations and supply chains to create and scale energy and carbon solutions.

We presently manage project timelines, identify risks, define needs, coordinate with cross-functional partners across the organisation, and lead large, multi-disciplinary projects from start to completion, according to Javed. “A formal education in climate science will help us advance the decarbonization of the global economy even further.

For highly driven, gifted professionals looking to advance their current careers in climate or make the switch to the field, the Climbatebase Fellowship offers a collaborative, community-focused educational experience. Since 2022, Climatbase Fellows have started early-stage enterprises, in-depth research papers, and media-based projects, the majority of which have secured funding.

The projects that Climatebase fellows work on have an influence on the environment, society, and governance. They also assess climate risk, develop portfolio strategies for decarbonization, construct green businesses, achieve Net Zero, and reduce the carbon footprint of corporate operations.

The core technologies—renewables, hydrogen, batteries/energy storage, EVs, heat pumps, and broader electrification—as well as carbon capture usage and storage (CCUS), including direct air capture, nature-based solutions, and biofuels—are driven by Climatebase fellows towards adoption.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
