“Fire Breaks Out at Lahore Airport Cargo Shed, No Casualties”

A fire broke out late last night at a private cargo shed at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport. The blaze caused concern, but swift and effective action by local authorities prevented any loss of life or significant property damage.

According to the Pakistan Airports Authority, the incident occurred about one kilometer from the airport’s apron area. The fire quickly spread within the cargo section, prompting an emergency response from various agencies. Rescue 1122 teams, along with vehicles from the Pakistan Air Force, were immediately deployed to control the fire.

Upon receiving the emergency call, eight firefighting vehicles rushed to the scene. Firefighters worked relentlessly to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading further. The airport’s management, including the airport manager and chief operating officer, was present at the site and supervised the operation.

Officials cordoned off the affected area to ensure the safety of airport personnel and nearby passengers. Despite the intensity of the fire, airport operations continued without any disruption. Authorities confirmed that there were no casualties, and the fire was under control within a few hours.

A rescue operation was launched as soon as the fire broke out. Rescue 1122 officials stated that they had received an urgent call about the fire, leading to an immediate response. Firefighters from various teams worked together to prevent a major disaster. Although the fire caused some initial panic, timely intervention by the authorities prevented any critical damage.

At present, the fire has been largely extinguished, and the situation is being closely monitored by relevant authorities. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
