Finance Bill 2025-26 to Grant Tax Exemptions to Army Welfare Trust

More organizations have been added to the list of entities already enjoying tax exemptions under the recently passed Finance Bill 2025-26.

According to reports, exemptions now cover pensions of former Presidents and their widows, the State Bank of Pakistan and its Banking Services Corporation, FBR Foundation, PCSIR, and WAPDA.

Additional beneficiaries include the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council, corporatized WAPDA entities, various Prime Minister and Chief Minister relief funds, the National Disaster Risk Management Fund, and the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The bill also grants tax relief to the Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dams Fund, PM’s COVID-19 Relief Fund, SECP, Privatization Commission, Fauji Foundation, Army Welfare Trust, and others. Previously eligible for tax credits, these institutions now receive full exemptions. The Finance Bill becomes law after President Asif Ali Zardari’s assent.
