A summons states that the PTI leader must appear before the agency on March 17 to give his defence.
The investigation was started as a result of a complaint made by Raja Muhammad Haroon, an Islamabad resident, after the federal government released the Toshakhana 466-page document at the prime minister’s request.

The complaint claimed that Fawad had accused Maryam of getting a watch from the state gifts repository in his tweet from March 12 in violation of the law on privacy and in an effort to incite conflict.
Under Section 174 of the PPC, Fawad will be subject to punishment (not obeying a legal order to attend at a certain place in person or by agent, or departing there from without authority).
The PTI leader has also been ordered to carry his ID card at all times.
In response to the news, Fawad said on Twitter that the FIA had opened an investigation hours after Maryam Nawaz made threats.
Fawad lamented, “Civil liberties have been entirely suspended in this country,” and warned that the Supreme Court’s continued silence could have disastrous consequences. The Chief Justice of Pakistan’s silence on these matters would be interpreted as his agreement of the constitution’s abrogation, he continued.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
