In a disturbing and deeply troubling development in Islamabad, Humayun Masood, Director of the Counter-Terrorism Wing (CTW) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), is facing severe allegations of harassment, coercion, forced marriage, and physical and mental abuse of a female subordinate officer, Assistant Director.
According to the female officer’s complaint, submitted to the Federal Ombudsman for Women’s Harassment Protection, Masood allegedly misused his senior position to harass, threaten, and force her into a relationship against her will. The complainant claims that after being coerced into a marriage, she was subjected to inhumane conditions, including being forbidden to have children and being instructed to keep the relationship secret.

The allegations also include accusations of physical abuse, with the complainant stating that Masood forced her to undergo an abortion after she became pregnant. On December 20, 2024, the complainant was allegedly abducted by the Islamabad police under Masood’s instructions, taken to a women’s police station while dressed in a nightgown and barefoot. She endured physical and mental torture overnight, had her mobile phone confiscated, and was pressured into having her father sign a blank document for her release.
In addition to these harrowing claims, the complainant asserts that Masood filed a false case against her, orchestrated her transfer, restricted access to her office and residence, and removed her personal belongings without her consent.
The victim has called for immediate action to be taken not only against Masood but also for the restoration of her dignity and honor. The case was officially heard on January 1, 2025, by the Federal Ombudsman, and the petition was accepted for investigation. This alarming case has raised significant concerns regarding the integrity of national institutions such as the FIA, and it remains to be seen how authorities will address these serious allegations.
