The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crimes Unit has arrested Ali Hassan Toor, a key suspect involved in the creation and distribution of a controversial fake video targeting Provincial Information Minister Azma Bokhari. Toor was apprehended at Sialkot Airport while attempting to flee the country. Immigration authorities at the airport detained him and notified the Cyber Crimes Circle in Lahore, prompting a team to travel to Sialkot and take him into custody.
Toor is accused of being behind the fake video, which allegedly sought to defame Minister Azma Bokhari. His name had previously been added to the Exit Control List (ECL), preventing him from leaving Pakistan. The arrest represents a significant step forward in the investigation, which has gained widespread attention due to its political ramifications.
