[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]In the money laundering case, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) detained Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi.
The agency’s personnel arrested the former Punjab chief minister, who is facing various charges, including corruption, from the Camp Jail in Lahore.
The FIA would interrogate Mr Elahi about his alleged involvement in the money laundering.
Earlier in the day, the probe agency arrested Chaudhry Zaman, an alleged frontman of the PTI leader. The suspect was later produced before the judicial magistrate who has approved his four-day physical remand. He is allegedly involved in illegal transactions.

Mr Elahi was arrested after the revelations made by Mr Zaman during interrogation. The FIA further said it had recovered evidence from his mobile phone. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
