FBR Announces Extension for Sales Tax Integration Deadline

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the deadlines for sales tax integration for various taxpayer categories, including public companies, importers, individuals, and associations of persons.

As per SRO 1413(I)/2025 issued on Friday, FBR mandates that all specified sales tax-registered persons must complete system registration and integration testing with the FBR’s computerized setup—either via a licensed integrator or PRAL—and start issuing electronic invoices by their respective due dates.

This latest notification replaces the earlier SRO 709(I)/2025 issued on April 22, 2025.

Key updated deadlines include:

  • Public Companies & Companies with Turnover Over Rs 1 Billion
    • Registration: August 10, 2025
    • System Testing: August 25, 2025
    • e-Invoicing: September 1, 2025
  • Importers
    • Registration: August 10, 2025
    • System Testing: August 25, 2025
    • e-Invoicing: September 1, 2025
  • Companies with Turnover Rs 100 Million – Rs 1 Billion
    • Registration: September 10, 2025
    • System Testing: September 30, 2025
    • e-Invoicing: October 1, 2025
  • Companies with Turnover Below Rs 100 Million
    • Registration: October 10, 2025
    • System Testing: October 30, 2025
    • e-Invoicing: November 1, 2025
  • Individuals & AOPs with Turnover Over Rs 100 Million
    • Registration: September 10, 2025
    • System Testing: September 30, 2025
    • e-Invoicing: October 1, 2025
  • Other Non-Corporate Registered Persons
    • Registration: November 10, 2025
    • System Testing: November 30, 2025
    • e-Invoicing: December 1, 2025
