The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has intensified its efforts to meet its annual tax target for the fiscal year 2023-24 by implementing measures to ensure the comprehensive collection of duties and taxes. To facilitate this, the FBR has issued a directive mandating extended working hours for the final days of June.

Key Points of the Directive:

  1. Extended Working Hours:
  • FBR offices, including large taxpayer units and regional offices, will remain open until late at night from June 28 to 30.
  • On June 28, offices will be operational until 8 PM.
  • On Saturday, June 29, offices will be open until 6 PM.
  • On Sunday, June 30, relevant tax offices will stay open until midnight.
  1. Coordination with State Bank of Pakistan:
  • Chief commissioners of land revenue have been instructed to work closely with the State Bank of Pakistan to facilitate this process.
