Fawad Chaudhry Mocks Adnan Sami Over Indian Flag-Themed Ear Monitors, Sparks Online Exchange

Former Pakistani minister Fawad Chaudhry has taken a sarcastic jab at India-based musician Adnan Sami after Sami showcased his newly customized in-ear monitors featuring the Indian flag.

Adnan Sami, who renounced his Pakistani citizenship in 2016 and now resides in Mumbai, posted on X (formerly Twitter) about his latest pair of customized ear monitors designed for his live concerts in India. “Just received my customised ‘In Ear Monitors’ from @ultimateearspro in USA for my live concerts! These are my 2nd pair & they sound incredible… They made this design with the Indian flag, especially upon my request,” Sami wrote.

In response, Chaudhry mocked Sami’s display of patriotism, tweeting, “Order some brain as well, Ears pro is too little for you.”

This was not Chaudhry’s first online dig at Sami. Last month, amid India-Pakistan tensions and India’s directive for Pakistani nationals to leave the country, Chaudhry had asked, “What about Adnan Sami?”

Sami fired back at Chaudhry with a sharp retort, calling him an “illiterate idiot” and questioning his qualifications as a former minister. “To think that you were Minister of (Mis) Information and have no knowledge of any information… And you were Minister of Science?” Sami wrote.

The exchange has added fuel to ongoing social media back-and-forths between the two figures amid tense India-Pakistan relations.
