The Mustafa Amir case has drawn widespread attention since January, when Amir went missing, and his mother received a ransom call demanding Rs 20 million. Armaghan Qureshi was arrested in February following a police raid at his residence. During interrogation, he confessed to the murder but later retracted his statement.
Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of Armaghan’s associate, Shiraz, who confessed that Mustafa was tortured and murdered before his body was transported to Hub, Balochistan, and set on fire. DNA testing later confirmed Mustafa’s identity, and authorities are continuing to pursue leads, including financial transactions and the involvement of accomplices.
