A police team led by SHO Zahid Zahoor conducted a swift operation and apprehended the suspect. Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Khalid Hamdani took notice of the case and instructed SP Saddar Nabeel Khokhar to carry out a full investigation.

Initially, the family attempted to mislead the authorities by presenting the death as a suicide. However, the post-mortem report confirmed the presence of gunshot wounds, officially classifying the incident as murder. Investigators collected forensic evidence from the scene, and a case has been registered under relevant sections of the law.

CPO Hamdani emphasized that violence against women and minors will not be tolerated, and assured that justice will be served. He further stated that any additional individuals found to be involved will also face legal consequences.

This incident highlights growing concerns over the misuse of social media platforms like TikTok, especially among young users, and the extreme reactions it can provoke within conservative households. The case also reflects the urgency of addressing honour-based violence and improving digital awareness and parental communication in Pakistan.
