Farhan Saeed has addressed the ongoing fan buzz around a possible third season of the beloved drama Suno Chanda, revealing that the script is currently in development. Speaking during a segment called “Truth or Rumour” on Tapmad’s YouTube series, the actor-singer offered a partial confirmation when asked if the script was secretly in the works and if he had already read it. “Half of it is true and half is false,” he replied, clarifying that while he hasn’t read the script yet, it is indeed being written. However, he added that the show’s return is not guaranteed at this stage.
Following Saeed’s remarks, fans of Suno Chanda flooded social media with excitement, expressing their hopes for a third season. Many shared comments like, “We want Suno Chanda season 3!” and “Can’t wait, Farhan Saeed! Bring it on!” Others, however, voiced mixed reactions. One user suggested that while they’d love to see Saeed and Iqra Aziz together again, the storyline should be entirely new. Another user criticized the idea of continuing the series, pointing out a lack of innovation in the industry.
Originally aired during Ramadan in 2018, Suno Chanda quickly became a cultural favorite, known for its family-friendly humor and the strong chemistry between lead actors Farhan Saeed and Iqra Aziz. It remains one of the most cherished Ramadan dramas to date.
Earlier this year, Farhan Saeed mentioned he would be open to reprising his role, but only if the story felt fresh and original. He stated, “I’m happy to do it, but it has to be with a new story, and then we’ll see how the fans receive it.”
Meanwhile, in 2022, the show’s writer Saima Akram Chaudhry had also hinted at a third season, saying she would write Suno Chanda 3 if her fans continued to support her other projects like Hum Tum and Chaudhry and Sons.
