A devastating house fire in Hyderabad’s Citizen Colony claimed the life of renowned Sindhi poet Dr. Akash Ansari. Rescue officials confirmed that the fire broke out inside the residence, resulting in one fatality, later identified as Dr. Ansari.
Authorities stated that he succumbed to severe burns, and a post-mortem examination has been ordered to rule out any foul play. His body was transported to Liaquat University Hospital for further investigation.

Dr. Ansari’s adopted son, Latif Akash, recounted the incident, stating that the fire erupted around 8:30 AM. Upon opening the door to his room, he discovered the poet lying on the floor, while the flames were so intense that Latif sustained burns on his feet while attempting to enter.
Sindh’s Chief Minister extended condolences and acknowledged Dr. Ansari’s literary contributions. He also ordered an investigation into the cause of the fire.
