Families of accused dead rapist file a legal case

The Islamabad High Court has received a petition from the relatives of two alleged rapists who were killed in an alleged fake police encounter in Sector D-12. After being apprehended for allegedly raping a 24-year-old lady in F-9 Park earlier this month, the two suspected rapists were slain in an apparent fake police encounter.

The victims’ families have asked for legal action against the police officers allegedly involved in the phoney encounter. The interior ministry, the human rights ministry, the inspector general of the Islamabad police, and the deputy commissioner of the Islamabad police have all been named respondents in the petition that was submitted through attorneys Adil Aziz Qazi and Kashif Shah. The petitioners claim that the Golra police detained the two dead men accused of raping the girl before to their murder.
