When asked about the restoration of data networks, a spokeswoman for the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said that an intimation is being sent to mobile telecom providers to restore internet services on cellular networks.
Mobile phone users should expect their data services to be restored within minutes to a few hours, depending on where they live, because the network takes time to fully restore across the country.
Following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, mobile broadband services were banned across Pakistan on the evening of May 9 (Tuesday).
