Ex-Pakistan Head Coach Joins Multan Sultans As Spin Coach

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Saqlain Mushtaq, the renowned former Pakistani spin bowler known as ‘The King of Doosra,’ has taken up the role of spin bowling coach and mentor for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) team, Multan Sultans. Multan Sultans made this announcement via their official Twitter account.

Additionally, the team revealed that Alex Hartley, a former English international and World Cup champion, will serve as the assistant spin bowling coach alongside Saqlain. Together, they will lead the spin department for the team, which clinched the PSL title in 2021.

It’s worth mentioning that Catherine Dalton had previously been appointed as the fast-bowling coach for Multan Sultans. She made history as the first female coach in the PSL and the first female fast-bowling coach for a prominent men’s team.

In terms of performance, Multan Sultans secured the Pakistan Super League (PSL) title in 2021 and were runners-up against Lahore Qalandars in both 2022 and 2023. Lahore and Islamabad are the only teams to have won the PSL twice.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
