Europe Officially Lifts Ban on PIA Flights, Reopens Skies

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has officially lifted the suspension on Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight operations. In a related development, Third Country Operator (TCO) authorization has also been granted to Airblue, as confirmed by Nadir Shafi Dar, Director General of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA).

DG CAA expressed his gratitude towards the Prime Minister, Aviation Minister, and Secretary Aviation for their steadfast support, which played a crucial role in helping the PCAA reach this historic achievement.

He praised his team for their relentless efforts and commitment to ensuring effective safety oversight. On this significant occasion, DG CAA extended his congratulations to the Pakistani nation, airlines, and the aviation sector as a whole.

Furthermore, he acknowledged the European Commission and EASA officials for their consistent coordination and support throughout the process of lifting the suspension.
