England crushed New Zealand by 65 runs in the second T20 International, thanks to explosive batting from Phil Salt and Harry Brook. The pair put on a stunning display of power-hitting that left the hosts struggling to recover.

Salt smashed 85 runs off just 41 balls, while Brook hammered 78 from 35, helping England post a massive total of 236 for 4. Their 129-run stand set the tone for one of England’s most dominant T20 performances in recent months.

New Zealand’s chase never gained momentum as England’s bowlers maintained pressure throughout. Adil Rashid led the attack with four wickets, while Liam Dawson also made key breakthroughs to restrict the hosts to 171 all out.

The win gave England a 1–0 lead in the series after the opening match was washed out. Captain Jos Buttler praised his side’s aggression and teamwork, calling the performance a statement ahead of future white-ball tournaments.

Cricket analysts said England’s batting depth and attacking style have made them one of the most feared sides in T20 cricket. The visitors will now look to seal the series in the next match.
