Electricity Restored In Most Flood-Hit Areas Says Power Division

The Power Division has made significant progress in restoring electricity to flood-affected regions. Most power grids and feeders are now operational again.

According to the latest report, electricity has been restored to 39 grids and 356 feeders across the affected areas. Teams continue to work day and night to reconnect the remaining locations.

Out of the total feeders, 152 have been fully restored. Meanwhile, 202 feeders are running on a temporary basis to ensure continued electricity supply until full repairs are possible.

Punjab Regions See Progress

In Punjab, temporary restoration efforts are ongoing. The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has restored 17 grids and 53 feeders temporarily. However, 67 feeders under Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) remain affected.

Officials say that once floodwaters recede, restoration work will resume in these areas promptly to restore electricity fully.

Updates from Tribal Districts

In North Waziristan, two feeders have been temporarily restored. Full restoration is expected by September 5. The Power Division highlighted that field teams are actively working to reconnect households and communities.

Commitment to Restore Electricity Fully

Power distribution companies (DISCOs) are working continuously across all affected zones. The Power Division has assured the public that restoring electricity to all flood-hit areas is a top priority.

Officials remain hopeful that with ongoing efforts, electricity will be fully restored soon, helping residents return to normal life after the floods.
