[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Karachi Electric (KE) has submitted an application to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) to adjust power tariffs based on fuel costs.
The application seeks a Rs18.86 per unit increase in tariffs for seven months, along with a suggested decrease of 29 paisas per unit for two months.Nepra will review the application and make a decision after hearing arguments.

In a recent announcement, Nepra raised power tariffs by Rs2.83 per unit for May 2024 bills.
This decision will add Rs26 billion to consumers’ burdens, but it will not affect K-Electric customers or lifeline consumers.
