The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) announced a reduction in power tariffs for November and October, decreasing by 75 paisa per unit for consumers of all power distribution companies (DISCOs) and 49 paisa per unit for K-Electric, under the monthly fuel adjustment (FCA) mechanism.

Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) requested a 63 paisa per unit reduction for November 2024 under DISCOs, while K-Electric sought a 27 paisa cut for October 2024. NEPRA approved reductions of 75 paisa and 49 paisa per unit for the respective months.

This reduction applies to all consumer categories except lifeline users, domestic consumers consuming up to 300 units, Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS), prepaid consumers, and agricultural consumers in XWDISCOs.

The FCA adjustment also applies to domestic consumers with Time of Use (ToU) meters, regardless of consumption. XWDISCOs will reflect this fuel charge adjustment in January 2025 bills for November 2024.
