Earthquake Jolts Islamabad, KP, and Northern Punjab; Panic Among Residents
Islamabad and several cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern Punjab experienced strong earthquake tremors on Saturday, triggering panic and rapid emergency responses across the affected regions.
According to the National Seismological Centre, the earthquake measured 4.3 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 88 kilometers. The epicentre was located near the tri-border area of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan.
Residents in Islamabad, Taxila, Wah Cantt, Haripur, Abbottabad, Attock, and nearby areas reported feeling the tremors. In many locations, people rushed out of homes, offices, and educational institutions as a precaution, fearing aftershocks.

Despite the intensity of the tremors, no immediate reports of casualties or structural damage have been received. Local authorities and emergency teams were promptly mobilized to monitor the situation and ensure public safety.
