Earthquake Shakes Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Residents Panic

A 5.2 magnitude earthquake hit various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, causing widespread panic among residents. Tremors were strongly felt in Swat, Chitral, and surrounding areas, prompting people to rush out of their homes in fear. The earthquake struck at a depth of 198 kilometers, with the epicenter located in the Koh-i-Hindukush region.

The quake was also felt in Peshawar, Abbottabad, and nearby regions, adding to the concerns of local populations. While residents reported significant shaking, authorities have confirmed that no immediate reports of casualties or damages have surfaced as of yet.

Other areas that experienced the tremors include Nowshera, Shangla, and Swabi. Despite the magnitude of the earthquake, the lack of early damage reports provides some relief, though assessments are still underway to ensure the safety of residents and infrastructure.

The region, known for its seismic activity, frequently experiences such tremors. However, the response from local authorities has been swift, with emergency services on standby in case further aftershocks occur.
