Remand Extended for Ducky Bhai in Betting App Investigation

Pakistan’s popular YouTuber Ducky Bhai remains in legal trouble as a local magistrate extended his physical remand by two more days in a case linked to promoting illegal gambling apps.

Saad ur Rehman, who has millions of followers, was arrested on August 17 at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport while attempting to leave the country. He is accused of advertising betting platforms such as 1xBet, Bet365, B9 Game, and Binomo on his YouTube channel, with investigators alleging he served as Binomo’s country manager.

The case, filed by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), involves charges under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, and the Pakistan Penal Code, including electronic fraud, forgery, spamming, spoofing, cheating, and prize-based schemes.

During the hearing, NCCIA officials requested more time, citing forensic analysis of seized devices that revealed chats about gambling promotions and evidence of foreign money transfers. Rehman’s lawyer contended that no evidence confirmed his client’s role as Binomo’s manager or proved that his promotions caused financial losses.

Magistrate Muhammad Naeem Wattoo instructed investigators to complete their probe promptly and ordered Rehman to appear in court again on September 3.
