Dubai Crown Prince Welcomes Fourth Child, Names Her ‘Hind’

Dubai’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and his wife, Sheikha Shaikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum, have been blessed with their fourth child, a baby girl named Hind. The royal couple welcomed their daughter on March 22, 2025, naming her in honor of Sheikh Hamdan’s mother, Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, the wife of Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The name ‘Hind’ carries significant cultural weight in Arab and Islamic history, symbolizing strength, wealth, and prosperity. Historically, the name was associated with affluence, referring to a hundred camels, and is also linked to the Indian subcontinent, known in Arabic as ‘Al-Hind.’
