A team of senior medical specialists examined former prime minister Imran Khan after alarming claims circulated about severe vision loss caused by a blood clot in his right eye. The detailed assessment aimed to verify his condition and address growing public concern surrounding his health situation.
The medical panel, equipped with advanced diagnostic equipment, conducted a thorough examination using modern tools typically found in specialized eye facilities. According to sources, the doctors carefully evaluated both eyes and monitored internal structures to determine whether any permanent damage or complications had developed during recent weeks.
Following the evaluation, physicians shared findings through a live video briefing with legal and medical representatives, including Barrister Gohar Ali Khan. They confirmed there was no serious issue in either eye and stated that the right eye was recovering steadily with noticeable improvement in vision clarity.
Doctors also rejected earlier reports claiming an 85 percent loss of eyesight, declaring them inaccurate and misleading. They explained that temporary blurriness and irritation were linked to age-related factors and mild infection, both of which have significantly reduced as swelling subsides and treatment continues effectively.
Despite the positive progress, specialists recommended continued monitoring and possible transfer to Al‑Shifa Hospital for follow-up care. The move may be finalized after directions from the Supreme Court of Pakistan, which is reviewing medical reports submitted by attending physicians and authorities.
Sources said Bushra Bibi visited him and expressed relief at his improving condition. Doctors added he previously received treatment at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences and may undergo further procedures if required, while expressing satisfaction and gratitude for the medical care provided.
