Diljit Dosanjh has addressed criticism surrounding the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3 and the film’s exclusion from Indian cinemas. Speaking to a British radio outlet, Dosanjh clarified that the film was completed before political tensions escalated after the Pulwama incident, making it impossible to replace Hania post-production.
He said the decision to retain her and opt for an international-only release was made jointly with the producers and director. “Though skipping the Indian release brings financial loss, I respect and support the producers’ call,” he added.
