In a statement on social media, the Punjab Police chief labeled the videos circulating on social platforms regarding a raid at the university as “false” and clarified that no such orders were issued to any official. He characterized it as an attempt to tarnish the prime minister’s visit to the university.

This response came in the wake of video clips showing police vehicles in motion, with some social media users claiming that security personnel had conducted a raid at LUMS to apprehend students.
