RAWALPINDI – Pakistan’s military spokesperson has accused India of using Afghanistan as a base to sponsor terrorism inside Pakistan. The statement came during a live briefing by the Director General of ISPR, who said that Indian intelligence networks were actively supporting anti-state groups operating from Afghan soil.

According to the DG ISPR, recent investigations and intelligence reports have revealed that several attacks in Pakistan were planned and executed from across the border. He claimed that India was influencing Afghan-based groups, providing them with resources, training, and logistical support to destabilize Pakistan.

He further added that Pakistan has consistently raised the issue with Afghan authorities, urging them not to allow their territory to be used against a neighboring country. “Afghanistan is our brotherly nation, but it must ensure that its soil is not exploited by hostile forces,” he said.

The spokesperson also stressed that Pakistan’s security forces have launched several intelligence-based operations to counter terrorist networks. He stated that many attempts backed by foreign elements had been foiled, and a large number of militants were neutralized in recent actions.

Highlighting regional instability, the DG ISPR accused India of spreading violence in South Asia through covert operations. He said that despite Pakistan’s efforts for peace, India continues to disrupt security and harmony in the region.

The remarks come at a time of heightened tensions along the western border, with Pakistan repeatedly claiming that terrorists cross over from Afghanistan to carry out attacks. The DG reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorism and defend its sovereignty at all costs.
