[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]This year, the Congo virus has killed at least six people, including women and children, in various districts of Balochistan. The province’s health officials have reported 35 cases of the virus, six of which were fatal.
Balochistan has previously seen Congo virus outbreaks, with numerous deaths occurring as a result of the epidemic in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Last month, a 28-year-old man became Karachi’s first instance of the Congo virus this year, but he died while seeking treatment at a private hospital.

The virus is mostly spread to humans by ticks found on livestock such as cattle, and symptoms include high fever, muscle discomfort, vomiting, and internal bleeding. There is no specific therapy or vaccine, resulting in a high mortality rate.
To avoid getting the virus, the provincial health service has recommended residents to wear protective gear and use bug repellents while approaching cattle or other livestock.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
